aerosol filling Production Line: Complete Manufacturing Process Explained
2026-09-23
A semi-automatic BOV aerosol Filling Machine is designed for filling and processing Bag-on-Valve (BOV) aerosol products. The machine mainly consists of a gas filling and crimping head, liquid filling head, electrical control system, and working table.
Proper installation and adjustment are important for stable filling performance. Follow the steps below to install and set up the machine.
1. Install and Level the Machine
Place the machine in the designated working position.
Adjust the leveling screws on the machine feet until the equipment is stable and level.
Make sure the machine is firmly positioned before connecting the air and power supply.
2. Connect the Compressed Air Supply
Connect the machine to a clean and stable compressed air supply.
Turn the pressure regulator knob and adjust the working pressure to:
0.6–0.7 MPa (6–7 kgf/cm²)
Check the air connections for leakage before starting the machine.
3. Connect the Power Supply
Connect the machine to the correct power supply according to the machine specifications.
Turn the power switch key to the ON position.
The touchscreen will light up and display the welcome screen when the machine is powered on normally.
4. Adjust the Gas Filling and Crimping Section
The gas filling and crimping section needs to be adjusted according to the aerosol can being used.
① Adjust the Filling and Crimping Head
Adjust the position of the gas filling and crimping head according to the diameter and height of the aerosol can.
Make sure the head is correctly aligned with the can valve.
② Adjust the Gas Filling Pressure
Set the gas filling pressure according to the product and process requirements.
The actual pressure should be adjusted according to the filling material and the specifications of the aerosol product.
③ Adjust the Crimping Size
Adjust the crimping parameters according to the valve and can specifications.
After adjustment, perform a test crimp and check whether the valve is properly sealed.
5. Adjust the Liquid Filling Section
① Adjust the Liquid Filling Head
Adjust the position and height of the liquid filling head according to the diameter and height of the aerosol can.
Make sure the filling head is properly aligned with the can.
② Adjust the Filling Volume
Set the required filling volume using the liquid filling adjustment system.
Perform several test fillings and check the actual filling volume. Fine-tune the filling setting if necessary.
Final Test
After completing all adjustments, run several test cycles and check:
l Gas filling
l Liquid filling
l Crimping
l Filling volume
l Can positioning
l Pneumatic operation
If all functions work normally, the semi-automatic BOV aerosol filling machine is ready for production.
Basic Setup Tips
For stable machine operation:
l Make sure the machine is level before operation.
l Use a clean and stable compressed air supply.
l Check the gas filling and crimping head before production.
l Adjust the filling head according to the can size.
l Perform test filling before starting continuous production.
l Keep the filling and sealing components clean and properly maintained.
Note: Specific adjustment parameters may vary depending on the aerosol can, BOV valve, filling material, and machine configuration. Always follow the machine specifications and operating instructions provided by the manufacturer.
