Types and Functions of Aerosol Leak Detection Equipment
In the production of aerosol products, the leak detection process is critical to ensuring product sealing and quality. Currently, there are various types of aerosol leak detection equipment available on the market. The mainstream equipment can be categorized into four main types, each with its unique technical advantages:

1. Aerosol Product Water Bath Leak Detection Machine
This semi-automatic aerosol water bath leak detection equipment uses an intelligent temperature control system to heat the water bath to 55°C, simulating an extreme high-temperature environment, to conduct a 3-5 minute seal integrity test on finished aerosol cans. After filling, the aerosol cans are automatically conveyed to the water bath testing tank via a guide chain wheel assembly. During uniform movement, operators can monitor through the protective cover observation window to detect any escaping bubbles in real-time, thereby determining whether micro-leaks are present.
The equipment features a fully enclosed protective design with splash-proof observation windows and convenient material retrieval windows, ensuring operational safety while facilitating quick sorting of non-conforming products. Its core advantage lies in its precise PID temperature control algorithm, which ensures consistent testing conditions and effectively identifies seal performance defects in aerosol cans under high-temperature environments, providing reliable basis for product quality control.
2.Pressure Change Detection Equipment
This type of equipment detects leaks by monitoring pressure changes in aerosol containers over a certain period of time. If a container has a leak, its internal pressure will gradually decrease over time. This equipment is simple to operate, cost-effective, and suitable for rapid testing on large-scale production lines.
3. Ultrasonic Leak Detector
Ultrasonic leak detectors use ultrasonic technology to detect leaks in aerosol containers. When a container has a leak, it emits a specific ultrasonic signal. This type of equipment offers high precision and can detect even the smallest leaks, making it suitable for applications with stringent quality requirements.
4. Helium Leak Detector
Helium leak detectors use helium as a tracer gas and detect leaks by measuring changes in helium concentration. This method is highly sensitive and can detect extremely small leaks, but it is relatively expensive, making it suitable for high-precision aerosol leak detection requirements.
Summary
Each type of equipment has its own strengths—water bath testers are suitable for high-temperature simulation testing, pressure equipment focuses on cost-effectiveness, ultrasonic detectors excel in precision, and helium detectors are suitable for ultra-high-end requirements. Companies can select the appropriate solution based on production scale, precision requirements, and budget. Future technologies will evolve toward intelligence and integration to enhance testing efficiency and reliability.
